Thermal effects in hydrodynamic bearings have been widely studied in recent years, as well as elastic effects, but few studies combine the two approaches. A theoretical and numerical analysis was conducted taking into account the greatest number of parameters, such as thermal effects, thermal and elastic deformations, so that it is as accurate as possible. A complete experimental study is presented on the misalignment. It highlights that the misalignment very significantly modifies the operating parameters of the bearing. A thermoelastohydrodynamic (TEHD) model has been studied; this one takes into account the deformations due to pressure and temperature fields.
