وصف الكتاب
This book focuses on the pastoral practices of Fulani pastor residents around a forest classified as Chadian savannah. The objective of this work is to build a theoretical vision to reconcile the policy of environmental protection to sustainable development, including pastoralism in a highly agricultural area. The results show that the management of space and natural resources is becoming increasingly difficult for these pastoralists. This results in many constraints in their pastoral practices, stemming from the confrontation with the agricultural populations around land issues and managers of the forest classified around woody resources. In addition to these constraints, pastoralism is considered in this region as the activity most harmful to the protection of the environment. Yet pastoralism, agriculture and protected areas are not really incompatible. The animal is not necessarily the enemy of the tree, and even less that of the field, and on the contrary, one could contribute to the preservation of the others.
