Hugo G. Walter has a BA from Princeton University, an MA from Old Dominion University, a PhD in literature from Yale University, and a PhD in interdisciplinary humanities from Drew University. He is Professor of English and Humanities at Berkeley College New Jersey and Online. Walter has written widely on European literature, including Space and Time on the Magic Mountain (Lang, 1999), Sanctuaries of Light in Nineteenth Century European Literature (Lang, 2010), and Beautiful Sanctuaries in Nineteenth- and Early-Twentieth-Century European Literature (Lang, 2011). In addition, he has published ten volumes of poetry.
