There are many reasons that impose a control of maritime traffic, so that it is able to track the different vessels that approach or move away from the coasts. Technically this does not suppose any problem, in fact there exist powerful systems used for the control of maritime traffic: stationary radars, AIS (Automatic Identification System), satellite systems, etc. Since the appearance of the AIS, it has been revealed as an effective means to perform an efficient control.
