The last migratory flow of the Pontic Greeks of the former USSR, a direct result of the geopolitical changes of the 20th century, is a major event in the history of the Greek diaspora. By returning to their historic homeland, the Pontic Greeks are face to face with their own history. The contact with the host society is made with difficulties, illusions but also with new dreams. Their settlement in Thrace and Athens and the process of their social integration highlight the strengths of the migratory group, but also highlight the responsibility of the state to plan in a modern and efficient way.
