If we take into account that there are no other shops nearby in this place, then this shopping center is excellent. There are restaurants. There are several of them. There are coffee houses. Starbucks even. Sell dates. There are souvenir departments. Jewellery Stores. ATM machines. National clothing stores and a small supermarket. Near three hotels. Fairmont, and two Shangri-La. Inside and outside fountains. Gorgeous.

Part of the Shangri-La Hotel complex in the UAE capital’s Khor Al Maqta area, this is a contemporary adaptation of a typical Arabian market, with abras (water taxis) ferrying you round the waterside complex via meandering man-made canals.
The architecture of the two-level souk is a fusion of Arabian and Venetian themes.
