Review about Manarat al Saadiyat from Lavrenets Kateryna
The museum is unusual: it presents what is not yet there. In addition, of course, photographs of architects who are building this future. Three years later, the island, which is almost empty now, will be built up with unusual buildings, museums started working and entertainment centers. All this is presented in mock-ups, sketches, and a short film. An impressive layout of the future Sheikh Zayd Museum in the form of falcon wings. Interesting, but empty, although our guide Abdullah managed to fill this void with stories.

The name of Abu Dhabiâs original art destination literally translates to mean a âplace of enlightenmentâ. Manarat Al Saadiyat opened its doors to art lovers in 2009 and hosts on-going activities for the local community, including workshops for children and adults in topics such as printmaking, self-portraits, figure drawing, and robotics. As the first art and culture center of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the venue offers a wide variety of exhibitions, performances, productions, conferences, talks and workshops throughout the day and all year-round.
The site also features a 250-seat auditorium, an outdoor events terrace, a café and brasserie, three galleries for temporary exhibits, a photography studio and an art studio, all of which host a variety of community events such as comedy nights, theatre workshops, sky-gazing, yoga classes and film screenings. Visitors can admire the Norman Foster-designed UAE Pavilion, home to Abu Dhabi Art, which takes place every November or enjoys a visit to the gift shop and FANR restaurant.
