Joshi Confectionary and Sweets Trading is a very well known outlet for the best chaats, sweets and namkeen. It is located in Bur Dubai area and is the favorite of most vegetarian lovers. This outlet has simple interiors and seating arrangement is inside as people prefer to eat food on the dining tables. On weekends it is extremely packed. My father prefers a take away from this restaurant especially for snacks. He usually orders for Vada Pav, samosa chaat, daahi kachori, sev puri from the Chaat counter and we are also a big fan of these items. They are so yummy. The sweet and spicy chutneys are the best items to have along with these chaats. Sometimes my father likes to purchase namkeens like papdi with carrots mix, masala wafers, Bombay chakli, moong dal, teekha sev, cup cake to have with evening tea since this doesn’t make you feel hungry for about 3-4 hours. The packaging is done appropriately using disposable plastic containers and they provide cutlery as well. The prices of chaats are quite affordable. During Ganpati pooja or Durga Puja, we attend a lot of functions organized by family friends. We give offerings to the idol like kaju katli, Gajjar halwa, motti choor ladoo and rasgulla on these occasions. These are the most delicious sweets loved by our circle of friends and hence we don’t care of the cost. I have tasted the Pav Bhaji and dabeli at this outlet. It is superb! It reminds you of the Mumbai street food and has a similar appearance also! The cleanliness is not so good. The hygiene practices are followed by the staff . They are courteous and customer service is amazing. The quality and quantity of food is average. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who likes to have reasonable and tasty Mumbai street food!
