Good Hospitality and patient care services Need to be seen from the patient perspective
I had a consultation in the Emergency Department for General Practitioner on 2nd May 2020. The waiting time is too long. It took me 1.5 hours to be seen by a doctor, and I was told that it's already 5:30 pm, time for Ramzan, so I need to come some other day. When I told, I am here waiting since 4:00 PM. Then I was allowed to see a doctor, only if my consultation wasn't taking long. I needed only refill medicines. I handed over my prescription, Dr came and took the prescription and left. The point of contact was only few seconds. where I wasn't evaluated for anything. They just were interested in finishing with the consultation .Was I being treated correctly?? The pre-screening area for CoVID 19 is being done very well, screening at every entry points with nursing staff wearing PPE's. I have one suggestion for pre-screening area, They have doors with handles, which will be touched by every person entering. As in this situation, its better, not to have doors with handles. The exit door has only covering which can be opened with just pushing. If the same can be used for entry, it will be really good. Don't know how many positive cases enter that entry door and use that handle. I had a referral for Internal Medicine, for which without me fixing an appointment. I got a call from the hospital asking me when the consultation needs to be fixed. That is really good from a hospital.
