Awesome presentation of dishes, hygiene is good, nice quantity
Oily and spicy food, time consuming chaat corner
Meena Bazaar has several restaurants to satisfy your food cravings but this particular joint – Mini Punjab satisfies your soul. They serve some really out of the world Chaats, nonveg food, and desserts! The restaurant ambiance is simple and the vibes are positive. Hygiene is fine and the cleanliness is good. The dining tables are on the inside and has enough capacity to accommodate customers. One day for a family dinner, we kick started with Dahi Puri, Papri Chaat, and pani puri. With the perfect blend of spices and tanginess in the chaat, they were impeccable and probably the best way to begin your meal. After which, we went on to have their chicken lollipop, veg spring rolls, Chinese bhel, mutton seekh kabab, fish tandoori tikka, navaratna korma and butter naan, all of which were having nice quantity but are a bit spicy and oily. The aroma of these items are mesmerizing. To digest this we ordered fresh lime soda. We ended our meal with kulfi and gulab jamun, my all time favorite desserts! I must say, the kind of efforts which they take for creating a dish to presenting it on the table is commendable. The restaurant staff is friendly and the service is a bit slow sometimes. Evenings are packed with people waiting in a queue at their outside counters for savoring the famous Mumbai street food. We usually do a takeaway of the breakfast or lunch and the restaurant is so crowded on weekends. The best of these items are koki paratha (Sindhi special), gobhi paratha, Methi paratha and lassi. The packaging is done appropriately with disposable plastic containers. The prices of most items are reasonable but few dishes are a little expensive also. Quality is also fine. Overall I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have mouth watering Punjabi dishes and Mumbai street food.
