Review about Shahi Mughal Restaurant from Gehani Priya

Good customer service, affordable Portions are small
I visited this restaurant located near Fahidi Metro Station in January 2020 with my Sindhi friends since we wanted to eat best of both Indian and Pakistani food for dinner. The food quality and taste is fine. The service boys are kind to serve and while some speak English others don’t. The food arrived about 20 minutes after placing the order.  The ambience was average. Always ask about the dish of the day so you experience something new, fresh and available. Though it’s a small restaurant, I saw many nationalities visiting just to try quick bites like seekh kababs! The outlet has seating arrangement both on the indoor and outdoor which is quite comfortable. But be careful as a lot of insects are found in the fencing of the outdoor seating area. We tried items like sweet corn soup for starters. The main course dishes like chicken afghani, mutton tikka masala, naan and rumali rotis was extremely delicious but had a little smell of fish along with the chicken. However I informed the staff to cook chicken in separate utensils and not with fish, since we were expecting a better taste. The quantity is less as compared to other restaurants and they charge extra for raitha and salads. We also loved the gulab jamun for dessert but at the end to make ourselves warm had the Zafrani tea which was a much awaited beverage after the meal.  The bill was bought along with a plate having fennel seeds which is good for digestion. The cleanliness is good in the restaurant and had all the necessary items like tissues on table. The staff also maintained good hygiene practices like housekeeping the area where a spillage has occurred! Since there is a lack of parking space in Bur Dubai area it is more preferred to use the public transport to visit this outlet!
