Review about Karachi Darbar from Gehani Priya

Which Dubaiite does not know a Karachi Darbar - perfect for carnivore, its meat fiesta with kebabs, tikkas, gravies etc..off course they do have a veg menu as well. When in Bur Dubai, your lunch or dinner venue will depend where you have found a parking spot. On this occasion, our parking spot was alongside Karachi Darbar. After a long time, I was having dinner here and I must say, the taste has not changed since many years. Few menu items have changed. My points are solely for the food, ambience is simple and interiors is not so good. The food is fresh, very flavourful kebabs, you get off the tandoor roti. Eat the curries daily and you are in for a clogged artery :) It could definitely do with the less oil in their gravies. The rice of chicken tikka biryani was well cooked with a perfect taste of blended masala. We also ordered chicken karahi it had a delicious masala and chicken was well tendered. We even had falooda and jalebi. Both extremely tasty!! Variety is available. The tables were dusty and looked like as if they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We actually had to scrub it with paper napkins else fear having dust on our hands. Most important thing, I thank to the team. I left the restaurant and forgot my bag on the chair. After realizing it 10 minutes later, I hurried back to the restaurant. The waiters kept my bag safe and sound and gave it back to me. Overall, Karachi Darbar is synonymous with great mughlai taste. If you would like to visit a Pakistani restaurant for instant gratification of your palate and taste buds at most affordable prices in Dubai go for it. Of course, provided you don't visit the rest rooms.
