Maharajah Bhog... the feast for a king! Well, that is exactly what it is. A visit to Maharajah Bhog is not something I really look forward to. No, I do not mean it in a negative way. Every time I go to Maharajah Bhog I leave so full that I promise not to eat that much the next time. As you can tell that is not how it ends the next time either.
You start off with an empty thali (plate) with little containers for the different delicacies they would surprise you with on a given day. By the time they are done pampering you, you really wish you had not driven and had Ubered it!
Ambience : Pleasant and soothing.
Service : This is the best part of this place. You end up being treated like a king. From ensuring that your hands are washed at the table to your plates being refilled with a smile. Actually, that is not right, you actually get treated like a guest in an Indian house. Very rare for a restaurant that runs on an all you can eat model. The staff is well dressed and appear to be well trained to handle guests. Service is quick.
Food: The menu was fairly extensive and post the starters came in fresh rotis, vegetables, curries, rice and sweets. In the end of the meal we tried paan which was signature of their restaurant and was nice. Delicious most of the time. There are times when the offerings of the day may not be of your interest but given the variety they serve that is rarely the case. Quality of the food is average.
Overall: It is almost always a good experience. Recommended to the vegetarian in you. Must visit for every foodie and it will be a treat. Prices are affordable though!
