Excellent customer service, tasty South Indian food, hygienic place
North Indian thali was not tasty
Sangeetha restaurant is located in Karama and is well known for its South Indian vegetarian food. In this place they have North Indian variety also available. I have been here a couple of times with family. I have eaten breakfast and dinner both at this outlet. The ambiance of the outlet is pleasant. The staff is friendly and customer service is quick. The place is hygienic. The cutlery and utensils for customer dining is clean. I enjoy having the sambar idly, uppma, onion tomato uttapam, Rava dosai, ghee paper roast which are lip smacking items. The best food here is Mysore masala dosai, adai Avial and are quite famous among customers. I also like their hot beverages like madras filter coffee and tea which has an amazing aroma. I also have tasted their Chennai thali that consists of chappati or puri, kuruma, Kootu, poriyal, sambhar, rasam, plain rice, sweet, curd, pickle, appalam which was delicious. The North Indian Thali like tomato soup, sweet, salad, tandoori masala, dry subji, palak, dal, roti, pulav rice which was not good in taste. The veg fried rice, schezwan noodles, Gobi 65, Kerala mushroom are drool-worthy dishes. The chettinad special favorite is onion kadai which is mind blowing. In cold beverages I like the salted lassi, rose milk, fruit cocktail and dry fruit milkshake which are out of the world! The chettinad sweets are different on each day of the week. I have tried the carrot halwa and sweet seeyam which was so yummy. Some of the desserts I also like having are fruit jelly, special falooda, gulab jamun and ladoo which are superb. Presentation of the food is excellent. The prices are worth the quality and quantity of the meals served. Overall I recommend it to anyone who wants to dine in for Tamil cuisine in a decent outlet.

Sangeetha Veg Restaurant is a Chain of Signature vegetarian Indian Restaurants, a group centered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.  The first restaurant was opened in 1985 at Parry’s in Chennai by Mr. Padmanabhan Suresh and later the second Restaurant was opened in 1990 at Mylapore by his brother Mr. Padmanabhan Rajagopal. Currently, the restaurants have grown exponentially to more than 35 units at Chennai and 15 units abroad. The restaurants are both ownership driven and also through the Franchisee model. 

The restaurants are mainly in Chennai and its suburbs and in various locations abroad such as Belgium, France, United Kingdom, USA, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi,  Bahrain, Malaysia and Hong Kong Although South Indian dishes was what the original restaurant had started with, now the restaurant chains cooks, dish out the best possible fair in North Indian, Chinese  and also Thai foods.

We are continually looking for fresh ways to recreate our brand and are investigating indigenous and foreign cuisines that can form part of our menu. 

Hailing from a Southern Indian context and South India being the cradle of spices, our dishes are focused on the aroma and flavor of spices. Our South Indian cuisines are obtained from the traditional Udipi & Chettinad style of cooking. For all our dishes we use authentic Indian spices and fresh masalas. 

The traditional methods that we employ in our cooking, in addition to the authenticity of the quality of products that we use, have made our chain of restaurants a customer’s delight. This gets additionally enhanced by our unique hospitality that we provide to our customers when they visit us along with the right ambience to create an unforgettable experience to our customers. Keeping in mind our customers good health we use olive oil for preparing North Indian dishes in most of our restaurants.
