Book Description
Centrality issues seem out of fashion. From classical theorists, Lösch and Christaller, to the most recent ones like Krugman, the multiple works seem to have said the basics about the structuring of the urban and regional space, either by improving or adapting this corpus of thought to the new processes driven for example by new tools for communication and circulation of goods, people and information. But addressing the question of urban and regional organization through the prism of innovation leads to a return to ancient and current theories. Indeed, the introduction of a parameter often marginalized because of its complexity leads to re-interrogate the theory, whose seemingly innocuous crackings reveal, on reflection, gaping faults undermining the base of well-established constructions. It is consequently a property of space, the acentrality, which stands out, and opens up new perspectives in the theoretical field, but also in that of the development of which the foundations of action can and must be revised at the same time. the yardstick of acentrality.
