This book attempts to demonstrate the existence of links uniting the tangible and intangible heritages with a view to integrating them into the planning and sustainable development projects of the territories. At the time of sustainable development, the man or the modern subject, who maintains an intrinsic relationship to his place of life must be the main actor in the heritage selection and all its polymorphic character. Based on field observations and survey results, analyzed statistically by univariate, bivariate and multivariate (AFC) methods, this book highlights the heritage specificities in the urban planning of one of the African cities known for its traditions. and its culture like the example of Ouidah in Benin. Then it presents the different profiles of the inhabitants depending on these heritages and finally, it analyzes their position in relation to the patrimonial elements present. The results obtained allow a better knowledge of these at the level of research in the humanities and social sciences but also to allow the builders of our cities, a better integration in the projects of urban planning and sustainable urban planning of our days
