Book Description
The aim of the book is to provide an overview of the development of the German cloud computing market - from ASP hype to software-as-a-service to cloud computing. Because exactly this development is the basis for the current status quo of the German cloud computing market, which I will address from a user - but also from a supplier's perspective. In addition, if you are faced with the decision of whether and how to use cloud services in the company, I would like to give you some tips from my own practice as an entrepreneur and market observer. I also put together some practical examples of how other companies have made it into the cloud. The topic of data protection and cloud computing and the different perspectives on this topic in and outside Germany (keyword: CLOUD Act vs. GDPR) come up as well as the topic of shadow IT. For my podcast I was able to conduct some interesting interviews with market observers and cloud computing providers on the German market. I have summarized a selection of interviews in this book.
