About the Author
William G. Cvetnic, MD received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Johns Hopkins, his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA from the University Pittsburgh. He did his pediatrics residency at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Cvetnic has served on the pediatrics faculty of University of California, Irvine and the University of Pittsburgh; was the medical director of the NICU at Magee Womens-Hospital (U. Pittsburgh); and also had an appointment at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Besides academic neonatology, he also has done inpatient and PICU hospital medicine, outpatient acute care, neonatal follow-up, developmental pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology, and office general pediatrics. In addition, he ran a private medical company's consulting division, teaching family-centered, developmentally-supportive care to the staffs of NICU around the country. Dr. Cvetnic has been a respected Kaplan instructor since 2004.
