Book Description
The exceptional droughts observed in recent years have shown the vulnerability of certain human activities in the face of a shortage of water resources. Experience feedback from the 2003 drought has shown that this situation could have been better anticipated, prompting the services that have the responsibility of managing watercourses to equip themselves with low-water forecasting tools. This research focuses on the analysis of low water levels in rivers in eastern France in the Rhine and Meuse basins. The objective is to propose an applicable conceptual modeling for operational forecasting. One of the interests lies in the choice of a large number of basins, located in a homogeneous climatic context, but with diversified geological characteristics
