Book Description
For fifteen years, the notion of governance has become increasingly important at the heart of development issues. This concern is evident in all areas of life, and the parliamentary field is not exempt. And even if the meaning of the term governance remains complex, the meaning sometimes remains very basic (the art or the way of governing, a tool of government, of administration, even of management). The reflection will focus on the governance of public policies, as an instrument to drive reforms, including legislative or normative. However, it is important not only to be concerned with the content of the policies but also with the way they are developed and implemented, including the participation of the different actors. This state of affairs is perceptible both in the Cameroonian parliament and in the network of parliamentarians for the sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Central Africa. The parliament today gives more and more an important place to the issues of governance of the public policies in particular, forest and environmental ones.
