Book Description
The study of the dynamic behavior of helicopter rotors to solve various problems related to their operation. The main purpose of this research is to implement a model to simulate the dynamic behavior of a vertical rotor. A study of helicopter aerodynamics was done to determine the aerodynamic loads applied to the main rotor of the helicopter. This allowed to develop a model of finite elements of the blade and to deduce their frequencies and eigen modes. The calculations of the different energies and virtual works of the various elements of the rotor have been developed. A simple model has been defined to study vibration phenomena. To deal with real systems, a finite element model has been developed. This model makes it possible to extract the natural frequencies and the modal deformations of the rotor, and to calculate the stresses acting on the structure for the different eigen modes. The study of transient rotors makes it possible to determine the vibratory responses due to imbalances and to different excitations.
