The book "THE SAHARA FOGGARA - The oasis genius" is the result of ten years of research based on missions and surveys carried out in the oases of the Sahara. Seven types of foggaras have been highlighted. These are the foggaras of: mountain, wadi, Albian, spring, erg, garden and floods. On the side of the foggara water distribution, we were impressed by the complexity of the water distribution network in the seguias. Connections are made between foggaras by seguias to assure the water supply of each owner. Nine models of connections have been highlighted for two scenarios: upstream and downstream of kasria. Two methods are used by the oasis to increase the flow of foggara: the extension of the draining part of the gallery and the addition to the main gallery of one or more branches. The grouping of foggaras is a solution to deal with the regression of the flow. Today, this world cultural heritage is threatened with extinction because of technical and social problems.
