Cultural events take place in time and space. Their relations with the territory are ambiguous, because cultural events are as much a factor of change in the perception of a territory as the testimony at a place and at a given moment of a culture. This work proposes the approach of a cultural event starting from the social relations between the individuals responsible for the organization. This will lead to a new method of analysis that lies at the crossroads of cultural geography and sociology of networks. The purpose of this work will be more specifically to examine the processes of creation and maintenance of networks that allow the development of a cultural event such as a festival.
