Book Description
The book deals with the problem of littoralization and its impacts on the environment on the western coast of Algeria, from the Wadi Kiss west to the Dahra Mountains to the east, it focuses on the human-environment interface by combining the knowledge of physical geography with human geography. It analyzes the different modes of occupation of the littoral space and the interactions between the different components of space, ecological, economic and social. The book, structured in three parts, includes analyzes based on case studies. The first deals with environmental problems through three inputs: the disruption of coastal dynamics, the regression of biodiversity and the degradation of the natural landscape. The second explains these degradations by the study of the littoralisation and its different mutations. The third and last part is devoted to the study of management tools, the actors' game and the conflicts of use around the question of the environment and coastal land.
