Editorial Review
Ashcroft's... intricate pencil sketches and clear route-labelling make him the natural successor to Wainwright, and they certainly share the charm and accessibility of the great man's Pictorial Guides. Walk magazine "aficionados of Britain's "big `uns" will find it an indispensable gazetteer for their trips to the hills." The Outdoor Times "the prospect of the hiker in your life - fire on, feet up, brew in hand - delightedly pouring over the 170 spectacular routes etched out and rated here certainly seems a distinct possibility" Wanderlust "If you fancy doing every scramble, trail and climb to get fit yourself, there's no better book out there." Weekend Sport "Effortlessly authoritative and illustrated in Jeremy's unique style, this is a vital companion for anyone tackling Britain's highest places." Simon Ingram, Editor, Trail Magazine
