About the Author
Basant K. Puri, MA, PhD, MB, BChir, BSc (Hons) MathSci, DipStat, PG Dip Maths, MMath, FRCPsych, FSB, is based at Hammersmith Hospital and Imperial College London, UK. He read medicine at St. John's College, University of Cambridge. He also trained in molecular genetics at the MRC MNU, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge. He has authored or co-authored over 40 books, including the second edition of Drugs in Psychiatry (Oxford University Press), the third edition of Textbook of Psychiatry with Dr. Ian Treasaden (Churchill Livingstone) and, with the publisher of the present volume, the third edition of Textbook of Clinical Neuropsychiatry and Neuroscience Fundamentals with Professor David Moore. Annie Hall, BA, MB BCh, MRCPsych is a consultant psychiatrist at South Kensington and Chelsea Mental Health Centre, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, UK. She read medicine at St Catherine's College, Oxford, and completed her clinical training at the Welsh National School of Medicine. She works in a busy NHS inner-city psychiatric service as a consultant general adult psychiatrist. Roger Ho, MBBS, DPM, DCP, Gdip Psychotherapy, MMed (Psych), MRCPsych, FRCPC, is an assistant professor and consultant psychiatrist at the Department of Psychological Medicine, National University of Singapore. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong and received his training in psychiatry from the National University of Singapore. He is a general adult psychiatrist and in charge of the Mood Disorder Clinic, National University Hospital, Singapore. He is a member of the editorial board of Advances of Psychiatric Treatment, an academic journal published by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
