Bogg began his leisure management career with the Blantyre Sports Club in Malawi, Central Africa, moving to Dubai in 1987 to open and manage the world-renowned Emirates Golf Club. He went on to open and manage both the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and the Nad Al Sheba Golf Club on behalf of the Government of Dubai, and between 2005 and 2010 oversaw the building of the Park Hyatt Dubai Creek and ninety-two residential villas at the Dubai Creek Golf Club, later initiating the project to build a further 120 villas at Emirates Golf Club.
