Book Description
Many models, more or less complex to assess air pollution in the city, but it is often regional models that consider a city as a point, that is to say, a homogeneous space. Yet, it is difficult to say that air pollution, linked to traffic, is uniform within the city. It depends jointly on the emissions produced by stationary and mobile sources, on urban morphology, on climatological conditions, which are themselves influenced by morphology. The approach developed in this book is above all a modeler and applied at the intra- urban level. This scale is used to account for city-wide pollution on the street. Complex modeling In particular, it relies on real traffic and fine climatology data and makes it possible to solve the three-dimensional equations of fluid mechanics. New indicators are produced in order to explain the role of urban morphology in the anisotropic dispersion of pollutants in the city.
