Book Description
This paper provides a brief overview of the rationale for stormwater management programs and explains why it is important to implement stormwater control measures in a sustainable development context. The purpose of this document is to evaluate the hydraulic and environmental benefits of the implementation of the Best Management Practices through a case study represented by the sector 1 network of the Verdun Borough. Hydraulic and environmental performance were analyzed and compared for three network configuration scenarios. The first basic scenario is to analyze the network in its current state of operation without any intervention. The objective of the second scenario is to analyze the benefits of network separation by building a sub-surface network dedicated to rainwater. The third scenario makes it possible to highlight the contribution of BMPs combined with the separation of networks in improving the hydraulic and environmental performance of the network.
