Book Description
Based on the potentials and risks of digital math tools, Daniel Thurm presents the development and research of a teacher training course for the integration of digital math tools. Based on a quantitative study with almost 200 secondary school teachers, the author shows that above all the teachers' self-efficacy beliefs are of particular importance. Furthermore, four types of teachers can be identified with regard to the relationship between beliefs about digital tools and their frequency of use. Together with the test tool that has been created to record teachers' convictions in the field of digitization and the findings on the effectiveness of further training, the study makes a valuable contribution to meeting the challenges of media integration in mathematics teaching.
