RAP-3WNP 2.4 GHz 802.11n Indoor Remote Access Point from aruba delivers secure 802.11n wireless and wired network access to corporate resources from branch and home offices. Centrally managed by aruba Mobility Controllers, the access point (AP) extends corporate resources to remote locations by establishing site-to-site VPN tunnels to the data center. It delivers a wireless data rate of up to 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and supports 2x2 MIMO with two spatial streams. The AP has three 10/100BASE-T Ethernet ports, one USB port for connecting to 3G and 4G networks, and one 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) port for IP phones or other devices. RAP-3WNP Access Point comes integrated with ClientMatch technology that continuously gathers session performance metrics and uses this data to steer every device to a better AP and radio on the WLAN, even while users roam and RF conditions change. At locations that require greater coverage, the AP can join an aruba Instant WLAN cluster. Simply install additional APs and the entire cluster is managed as one. If one access point fails, another access point automatically takes over with no disruption. installations across multiple sites, the aruba Activate service significantly reduces deployment time by automating device provisioning, firmware upgrades, and inventory management.
