Twinings Gunpower Green Loose Leaf Tea is a 200g tin of tightly rolled pellets of fine green tea. This special green tea has a distinctly refreshing taste, and is made using 100% natural ingredients. A delicately flavoured Green Tea. This unique gunpowder tea is made from rolled fine green tea leaves. Legend has it that the tea's name was given by a young English clerk who thought the tiny rolled green balls looked like pellets of gunpowder. To make this special tea, each silvery green tea leaf is withered, fired and then rolled into a tiny ball - a technique perfected over centuries to preserve freshness. Once in the cup with hot water added, the leaves of the shiny pellets unfurl back into life. The liquor is yellow, with a strong, honeyed and slightly smoky flavour that lingers on the palate. How to serve: Use 1 rounded teaspoon per person and 1 for the pot. Boil fresh water, leave to cool for 5 minutes then pour on. Allow to steep for 3 to 4 minutes for the perfect flavour.
