These work. I have insomnia, and my doctor prescribed me some melatonin 1%. I felt something with them but not enough. So when my prescription ran out at the same time my doctor was on vacation I ordered these otc, stronger melatonin tabs. These not only have a pleasant raspberry taste, but they're strong enough to help. This time I not only feel something but I feel sleepy. And if I go to bed as soon as these hit I get more hours of sleep than I have for a while. So I continue to take these instead of the ones I get from my doctor.

Melatonin is a hormone primarily released by the pineal gland that regulates the sleepâwake cycle. As a dietary supplement, it is often used for the short-term treatment of insomnia, such as from jet lag or shift work, and is typically taken by mouth. Evidence of its benefit for this use, however, is not strong.
