Uber Eats is an American online food ordering and delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014 and based in San Francisco, California.
Following the acquisition of Careem in January, Uber Eats will be joining forces with Careem’s food delivery service. We believe Careem is better placed to serve our food delivery communities as it expands its super app across the region.
This means the shutdown of Uber Eats in the UAE, as we work to smooth the transition of operations to Careem. Our number one priority is to minimise the impact on our valued employees, restaurant partners, delivery partners and consumers who have supported us.
