Step2 began operations in 1991 with five employees and has grown to its present 800+ full-time employees. The concept of Step2 Direct began in 1999 as an online website for the fulfilment of daycare orders. Step2 has since evolved into a direct to a consumer eCommerce website, servicing the 48 contiguous US states and DC.
